C-4 also known as Composition C-4 is a plastic explosive that was introduced during the events of Turok.

Appearance

C-4 appears as a small, square, grey-colored explosive device. It possesses a small keypad, with a detonator on the device itself.

Gameplay

This weapon isn't part of Turok's traditional sandbox, acting much in the way a flag would during Capture the Flag. When picked up, the player will be notified they're in possession of it through an icon present on their HUD. It can then be planted at a specific point in the level or map, and once enough time has elapsed, it will detonate. This explosion can kill anything within its radius, however, it's not a reliable way to kill any enemy.

History

After managing to breach a large Mendel-Gruman complex, Joseph Turok planted C-4 on multiple locations within the base's generators. When detonated, it wreaked havoc, sending the base into a meltdown, and allowing what remained of Whiskey Company to escape in the chaos.

At some point during Whiskey Company's time on the terraformed planet, C-4 was used by Alpha Team to get through the gate of a Mendel-Gruman outpost, all in an effort to reach Gamma Team.
