"We were going to be ahead of Jurassic World... oh well, lol."
—Greg Russo[1]

A Turok film was in development circa 2012 or earlier. Writer Greg Russo and director Neil Marshall were both attached to the project. Unfortunately, rights issues affected its development, and the project was ended.[2]

History[]

On October 2, 2019, Russo revealed the existence of both the project and his involvement on Twitter. Four pieces of concept art—according to Russo the only things remaining from production—were also revealed.[2]

Trivia[]

  • In a meta twist, the concept piece of the large theropod attacking an airliner can be traced back to a screenshot of the Spinosaurus seen in Activision's 2009 first-person shooter, Jurassic: The Hunted, a game which had content inspired by the Turok franchise, and the then-recent 2008 reboot.

Worked with Neil Marshall and some talented co-horts to make this a reality. Rights issues sadly killed the deal. This artwork is all that remains. Damn...
