The ESUS Blackfly sticky bomb gun, also simply referred to as the stickygun is a scaled down grenade launcher manufactured by ESUS that was first introduced during the events of Turok.
Appearance[]
The Blackfly resembles a short-barreled, snub-nosed pistol. It is silver and black in coloration, and it has some yellow colored lights on its magazine. The barrel of the weapon is bulbous and smooth while the weapon's grip and magazine are blocky and chunky. Piping runs down the weapon's chassis.
Gameplay[]
Single-player[]
This weapon acts as an in-between of the frag grenade and the L66 pulse rifle's secondary function, firing highly lethal, manually-detonated grenades from a handgun-like weapon. The launched projectile is as deadly as any other major explosive in the game, however it features a much more narrow radius, and a very steep projectile drop off. Unlike other grenades or launchers, the projectiles of the Blackfly stick to the environment and to live targets, allowing the player to create traps.
The primary projectile features a slight delay between the moment where it's launched and when it can be detonated, which should be accounted for. This weapon can also be dual-wielded.
This is the only weapon that no Whiskey Company or Mendel-Gruman forces use, being solely exclusive to the player. This weapon will also show the user how many rounds are available to fire in a present magazine through a series of five lights on the magazine, not unlike the five used to denote the Enforcer's flare and its recharge status.
Multiplayer[]
Another highly coveted pickup, the Blackfly, like the RedFist, can kill any soft target immediately should it detonate nearby. The ease of use of its secondary function can also result in very easy kills, as the launched spread possesses a generous hitbox.
Secondary function[]
The secondary function of the Blackfly is a proximity mine spread. Like the primary fire, this spread will stick to surfaces; however it will subsequently detonate automatically if anything, friend or enemy, nears its radius. Additionally, if fired directly at an enemy, it will immediately detonate without player input, killing them immediately.

Production notes[]
During Turok's production the Blackfly was originally known as the Shredder, with file names for the weapon's icon and model still retaining this old designation in the game's release build.[2]
