"This spider-like monster will spit acid at you from long distances. He prefers dark city streets over more open environments for one reason: more victims. If you get too close he’ll hit you with one of his many legs."
The Official Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Strategy Guide[1]

The Stryder is a hideous Oblivion-controlled mutated human. Stryders, along with Human Zombies and Oblivion Hounds, are the very first enemies encountered in Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion.

Appearance[]

These creatures are unique in comparison to the other Oblivion creatures. It is very pale skinned and has an elongated head with yellow eyes, while the body has multiple legs, alongside the already humanoid arms. The extra legs are brown in coloration.

Gameplay[]

When engaging a Stryder the player must be careful with its acid attack, as it can cause great damage. To best handle the situation, the player should use the Bow or Pistol to easily dispatch it.
