The Overdrive pickup is a very powerful pickup. It is only used in flight mode to enhance the .50 Cal Cannons. It makes the bullets faster and more deadly and gives the bullets a blue-white color. The Overdrive pickup wears out a short amount of time after being acquired, so it can only be used for a certain amount of time.
