Toxin is a poisonous substance produced within living cells or organisms on the terraformed planet. Soldier Bugs, Spitter Utahraptors, and the Razor Wing all produce toxin.

Gameplay

Barrels of the toxin can be found through Mendel-Gruman facilities. When destroyed, they can kill nearby enemies and even the player. Both the Spitter variant of the Utahraptor and Razor Wings can form this toxin into a projectile that they hurl at the player, stunning and harming them.

History

During a dissection of a juvenile Soldier Bug, several multiple Mendel-Gruman scientists died near-instantly when the bug's toxin suddenly became airborne. Within minutes the toxin dispersed, allowing people into the room without being affected by it.

Later, several scientists learned how to extract the toxin from the bugs, modifying and refining it into a form of gas that could be utilized as a biological weapon. Soon after, this toxin was tested on a facility full of scientists, killing them all. Roland Kane sent a message to an unknown recipient, detailing the process' success and stating Mendel-Gruman would be paying them extra for the discovery.

At some point during Whiskey Company's time on the planet, Beta Team would come across a weapon's facility that was testing this toxin on the native dinosaurs of the planet. They would be ordered to sabotage and destroy the base, being successful in their mission.
